About the Pearce Electorate

The Electorate of Pearce is an outer metropolitan seat situated in Perth’s northern suburbs, covering approximately 755 square kilometres and encompassing 30 suburbs. It is named in honour of Sir George Foster Pearce who was a Senator for Western Australia in 1901 to 1938 and served as Acting Prime Minister for seven months in 1916.

Following the Federal Distribution in 2024, the following areas are in the Division of Pearce:

  • City of Wanneroo - Alkimos, Ashby, Banksia Grove, Butler, Carabooda, Carramar, Clarkson, Eglinton, Gnangara, Hocking, Jandabup, Jindalee, Mariginiup, Merriwa, Mindarie, Neerabup, Nowergup, Pearsall, Pinjar, Quinns Rocks, Ridgewood, Sinagra, Tapping, Two Rocks, Wanneroo and Yanchep
  • City of Joondalup – Burns Beach and Kinross
  • City of Swan – Lexia and Melaleuca.
