Great news - we're officially one step closer to a Medicare Urgent Care Clinic in Yanchep!

During the Federal election campaign, I committed to better healthcare access for our growing northern suburbs. And now, that promise becomes reality as the tender process has officially opened for local practices and health services to operate the new Yanchep Medicare Urgent Care Clinic.

Eligible practices have until 7 October 2025 to apply and can find more information here.

What This Means for the Community:

  • Completely bulk-billed treatment - just bring your Medicare card.
  • Walk-in appointments for urgent but non-life-threatening conditions like cuts, burns, sprains, and minor injuries.
  • Extended operating hours when regular GP's aren't available.
  • Experienced doctors and nurses trained specifically in urgent care.
  • Seamless care that connects back to your regular GP for ongoing treatment.

This clinic will ease pressure on hospital emergency departments while providing quicker, accessible care close to home. Less waiting when your child needs stitches and faster treatment for sports injuries.

I want to acknowledge and thank the State Member for Butler, Lorna Clarke MLA, whose help in petitioning for this clinic was invaluable. This achievement shows what we can accomplish when all levels of Government work together and put community first.

Yanchep will join Clarkson as Pearce's second Medicare Urgent Care Clinic. The demand has been incredible - since August 2023, our Clarkson clinic has treated over 20,000 local patients and ranks among Australia's three busiest Medicare Urgent Care Clinics.
